OUR HISTORY

OVER THE YEARS

^
1985

Founding Year of Agriclé.

Pierre and Liliane Clérinx, who came from Belgium to settle in St-Marc-sur-le-Richelieu, imported the products of the German brand Suevia, specialized and recognized worldwide for their wide variety of waterers for farm animals. They had established a distribution network for Canada and United States.

2002

René Cloutier and Véronique Dion acquire Agriclé. Knowing the agricultural community very well after having worked there for many years, acquiring this business represented a great challenge in order to use their knowledge. They worked together for a few years in the garage built on their land.

^
2003

Agriclé buys Florent Chagnon recycled plastic company located in Saint-Dominique. The location offers a better showcase and customers now have a greater variety of products: the entire Suevia line and a large selection of recycled plastic and PVC materials made in Québec.

^
2007

Another new product line come in: Milk Bar teats and calf feeders. The company is convinced that these products will provide a new way to feed calves and increase their health.

^
2008

Selling plastic materials for several years, Agriclé wants to have an exclusive range with its entity. They opt for patio boards made from 100% recycled plastic and manufactured in Quebec. During a family dinner, a mix of ideas is made to find the name and that’s how Dekavie was born.

^
2009

Agriclé decides to diversify even more the supply of plastic materials by adding the Trusscore product line, a company based in Ontario and managed by two long-time friends. This company was starting business and Agriclé believed in them. It was the start of a great partnership and since then, the Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard is everywhere in Quebec.

^
2015-2016

In 2015, Agriclé innovated again by distributing quality, robust and durable Dobro cow mats.

In 2016, the company obtains the distribution of premium quality Huber Technik cow mats.

It was also in 2016 that Agriclé added to its range calf hutches from the Canadian company Agri-Plastics.

^
2016

Agriclé is getting a makeover! New logo and new brand image representing the three divisions of the company:

  • Agriculture (Green Color)
  • Residential (Yellow Color)
  • Industrial (Grey Color)
^
2017

Jean-Rémy, Véronique and René’s son, becomes a shareholder in the company. Working within the company for more than ten years and having worked in all departments, he knows all the ins and outs. He is quietly preparing to take over entrepreneurial succession.

^
2018

A new logo is created for the brand of Dekavie deck boards. It went without saying that this entity had to visually reflect the recent Agriclé logo, so that everything was linked together.

^
2019

Elisabeth, their youngest daughter, reorients her career as a professional photographer and decides to join the company as marketing director and eventually become a partner to take over with her brother Jean-Rémy.

^
2019

The year 2019 marks a big step for the future of the company: it is moving to a new 21,000 square feet location in Sainte-Cécile-de-Milton. Modern offices, a huge warehouse and a large concrete courtyard to have even more inventory in order to better serve customers.

The inauguration day was a great success with the presence of Mr. André Lamontagne, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and, the Federal Member of Parliament for Shefford County, Mrs. Andréanne Larouche.

^
2020

Agriclé decides to group together all the alternative building materials developed by the company under a new name: Plast-X.

2020 also sees the Split Saver mat project take form. These are specialized mats for piggeries to be installed in farrowing pens.

^
2021

Once again, Agriclé is taking a big turn for the future: creating a holding company to oversee all the brands (Agriclé, Dekavie, Plast-X and the future brands) since the company is diversifying more and more.

It mandates the company lg2 to find a new, timeless name that unites strength, vision and future while keeping a link with the previous logo. This is how AVENORD was born.
